The central difference
City energy or private-estate immersion?
Paris is part of the event
Guests arrive in a major international city and can build a complete trip around it. The wedding may move from a palace suite to a ceremony, city portraits, a private dinner and a late-night party. Paris contributes architecture, restaurants, hotels and cultural energy beyond the wedding itself.
Provence contains the event
A Provençal estate can become the complete destination. Guests gather in one landscape for several days, often with welcome events, outdoor ceremonies, long dinners and a final pool or brunch gathering. The atmosphere is more private, but the production may be more complex.
Neither is automatically more sophisticated
A palace wedding can feel intimate and highly controlled. An estate wedding can become a major production. The difference is not level; it is structure.
